Sports Reporter/Anchor

Travis joined the Action News team as the Lead Sports Anchor in November 2012. Prior to joining WBNG-TV he was the weekend sports anchor and a news reporter at WICZ-TV in Binghamton.

Travis graduated cum laude from the Syracuse University S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a dual major in broadcast journalism and political science. During his time at Syracuse, he worked for multiple student media outlets including WAER-FM, Citrus-TV and as part of the ESPNU Campus Connection program. Travis also spent a summer interning at WXII-TV in Winston-Salem, NC.

Some of Travis’s favorite sports stories he has covered include the Jon “Bones” Jones title fight against Rashad Evans, the Big East Tournament at Madison Square Garden, Jim Boeheim’s 900th career win at Syracuse and Jets Training Camp in Cortland.

He is originally from Wayne, PA, which is outside of Philadelphia. When he’s not at work, Travis enjoys following his Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, Flyers and Sixers. He also enjoys spending time with his family and playing plenty of basketball and tennis.
