Caroline Goggin joined the Action News team in June 2014 as a multimedia journalist. She graduated from Penn State University in May 2014 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, and a minor in business.
She is from West Chester, Pennsylvania near Philadelphia. She is a fan of the Eagles, Phillies, Wawa hoagies, and Philly soft pretzels. She went to high school at Bishop Shanahan in Downingtown, PA, where she first discovered her love for news as a host for the school TV station.
Caroline started her news career during her senior year of high school, as a participant in the KYW Newsradio "Newsstudies" program. She then went on to intern for the Preston and Steve Morning Show, ABC27 in Harrisburg, the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, and CBS3 in Philadelphia.
During her time at Penn State, Caroline was involved in both television and radio. She served as a reporter for Penn State's "Centre County Report". Two of her pieces for the show placed in the Society of Professional Journalist's regional competition. In radio, Caroline worked as a news reporter, anchor, producer, and eventually general manager of ComRadio, Penn State's student radio station.
A fun fact about Caroline is that during her senior year of college, she traveled to Havana, Cuba for an international reporting class. While in the country, she did a story on the controversial religion of Santeria.
Caroline looks forward to her time in the Broome County, as she meets some of the faces that make up the Southern Tier!
