Driedger recalled to Ottawa

(WBNG) - The Ottawa Senators recalled goaltender Chris Driedger on an emergency basis to replace Craig Anderson. Driedger recorded a shutout on opening night this season for the B-Sens and owns a 1-0-1 record in his two starts this season. Anderson has been granted a leave of absence by Ottawa to attend to a personal matter at home. Scott Greenham has been recalled to Binghamton in a corresponding roster move.

Lazar's goal leads B-Sens to victory

(WBNG) - Riding a two-game losing streak, the Binghamton Senators trailed 1-0 in the second period to Utica Wednesday night. Francis Perron tied the game on a power-play in the second for Binghamton. Then Curtis Lazar gave the Senators the lead with a power-play goal in the third. Matt O'Connor saved 31 shots and the B-Sens won, 2-1. Binghamton is at home Friday night against Syracuse.
