Hi, I'm Jerry Mollen.

I've often been asked why I wish to remain as District Attorney.

Remaining in the D.A.'s office has meant many disturbing phone calls in the middle of the night.

But it is those calls that have led me to make prosecution a career.

I will never forget the terrible crime scenes I have visited, or the victims of so many acts of violence.

As a result, I have chosen to dedicate my career to bringing to justice those who have committed such crimes against our community.

For this same reason, I have made concern for victims central to our mission.

My opponent has focused on drug crime.

In fact, Broome County is one of the toughest counties in New York when it comes to sentencing drug dealers, especially dealers who come in from outside the area.

Among the 26 largest counties in NYS, we rank 5th highest in percentage of felony drug dispositions resulting in prison sentences.

But you and I know that there are many other challenges facing our community, such as Child abuse, elder abuse, murders, and sexual attacks on children.

During my years as D.A., Broome County has been a leader on ALL of these issues.

For more detailed information about these activities, you can visit my campaign web site, GeraldMollen.com.

My goal as District Attorney has been in each case -- to be both as tough as though the VICTIM was a member of your family, and to be as fair as if the ACCUSED was a member of your family.

I respectfully ask for your vote on November 6th.
