Officer Injured During Bar Fight

A police officer is injured during a bar fight in downtown Binghamton.

Two Binghamton Police officers went to break up a fight early Saturday morning at Uncle Tony's Bar on State Street.

Police say a Binghamton University student grabbed one officer and assaulted him.

21-year-old Edward Rabinovich was arrested for 2 counts of felony assault on a police officer.

The officer suffered minor injuries.

Another B-U student, 20-year-old Robert Simonoff, was arrested during the fight.

He allegedly punched a bar employee and had a fake driver's license.

He's charged with assault and possessing a forged instrument.

Both men were sent to the Broome County Jail.
