The Binghamton Zoo will build a new home for its Bearcat.
Abby is a Binturong, more commonly called a Bearcat.
The Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park received a $75,000 dollar grant which will fund a new exhibit.
The Zoo says 8 year old Abby's current outdoor pen is old, and falling apart.
The new exhibit will also have room more bearcats to move in.
"They are a South-Eastern Asian Animal so they are used to the warmer weather. But she will be a big part of this new exhibit down in the lower zoo. We are also hoping to have the other side of the exhibit set for another species of animal," said Binghamton Zoo Director Mike Janis.
Construction on the exhibit will begin in a few months, and it should open next year as well.
The Binghamton Zoo has raised more than $300,000 dollars in 2007 for new exhibits.
