Chemung County Man Charged With Killing Cat

A deadly case of Animal Cruelty in Chemung County.

This weekend, Elmira Police arrested 22 year old Eric Fisher of Lake Street.

The arrest report says back in September, Fisher killed a woman's cat in retaliation over a domestic dispute.

The report says the animal was stabbed several times in the woman's apartment.

Fisher's charged with Aggravated Cruelty to animals.

It's the first felony charge ever filed by Elmira Animal Control.

It carries a penalty of up to 4 years in prison and a 25-thousand dollar fine.
