A Tioga County native announces he's seeking a spot in Congress...
Bruce Layman is running for the 22nd Congressional District on the Republican ticket.
He held his first press conference here at the Kalurah Shrine Banquet Hall in Endicott.
Layman says his business experience in New York State has prepared him to serve in Washington.
"I'll ask critical questions, I'm a critical thinker. And at the end of the day I'll help the value propositions and really right what's really gone awry in this country," says Layman.
If elected, Layman says gun control, healthcare and the war in Iraq top his agenda.
George Phillips and David Grate are also campaigning to run on the Republican ticket against Democrat Maurice Hinchey.
