A soldier out of Delaware County has been killed in Iraq.

27 year old Justin Whiting of Hancock was killed Saturday in a road side bomb.

His family says he was the driver leading a convoy near Mosul.

Two other soldiers were injured.

Whiting is a 1999 graduate of Hancock High School.

He was a Green Beret and has been in Iraq since October, serving his 3rd tour of duty.

The Whitings say he comes from a big military family, with a sister, brother and stepbrother all serving.

The family has no word yet on funeral arrangements.
