Action News Reporter John Bruce shows us the steps to post your photos in You News TV 101.
You've seen all that You news TV has to show.
Now it's time to share your favorite scenes, moments of your life, even news in your community.
So grab your digital camera.. log onto WBNG.com.. and get ready to be part of You news TV.
First, snap a picture.
We took this picture of a snowman.
Next, connect your digital camera to your computer using the USB cable supplied with your camera.
Select the photo that you want to post and rename it.
We'll call this photo "Patrick The Snowman"
Then, save it to your hard drive.
Next, head to WBNG.com… and click on the You News TV tab near the top of the page.
You need an account to post.
To sign up, click on sign in/submit.
A new window opens where you can also sign up.
You'll have to pick a user-name and password.
Enter your name and email address, and birth date then click on "Sign Up".
Once you've completed registration, you can up-load your pictures.
Select a category like News, Sports, Weather, Pets, or Events.
We'll chose weather.
Then, enter at title. Again, we'll chose "Patrick The Snowman.
In the body, tell us more like where and when the photo was taken, and even where you are from.
This helps the Action News team tell viewers something about picture if its picked for one of our daily newscasts.
In keywords, you can type in other words to help family and friends search for the image on You News.
Now, onto step two.
Click browse to pull up your pictures from you hard drive.
Select that one you want to post and double click on it
It should show up in the You News TV window.
Be sure to add a caption, like "Fun In The February Snow."
Once your done click "go onto to step 3".
Remember, it must be appropriate. No profanity or dangerous stunts please.
Once you have agreed to the terms, just click submit and you're done.
All content is reviewed by You News TV Personnel.
Once approved, submissions usually show up on the website within 24 hours.
So grab your camera, and get posting on You News TV.
