School & Community Mourn Peter Munck

A school and community gathers to mourn and remember 12 year old Peter Munck.

Friends and students supported his family during calling hours at Allen Funeral Home in Endicott.

Munck was a student at ME Middle School.

Broome Sheriff's investigators say he died from internal bleeding after fighting with his older brother two weeks ago.

Peter's body was not discovered for 3 days.

Relatives found him dead inside his home on Hastings Avenue in the Town of Union.

Students and staff were on winter break when they learned of Munck's death.

The Maine-Endwell district held a moment of silence this morning.

Middle School students began to craft a Memorial Wall, writing down memories and posting pictures.

A Memorial Service for Peter Munck will be held Tuesday night at 7 O'clock in the Maine-Endwell High School auditorium.

Also, ME has set up a memorial fund.

Donations will help family with expenses.

Also, fund a scholarship in Peter Munck's name and pay for a memorial to Peter at the Middle School.

22 year old Shawn Munck is charged with manslaughter in connection with his brother's death.

He's in the Broome County jail and waived a preliminary hearing.
