High school students learn life lessons from a Holocaust survivor.
Students at Vestal High School listen closely to 85 year-old Dina Jacobsen.
Jacobsen is from Elmira.
She was just 16 years-old when she was placed in Auschwitz.
She was held at the concentration camp, in Germany, for three years before the camp was liberated.
Students say Jacobsen taught them to stand up for what is right when they see something wrong.
11th grader Lee Anne Rufo walked away with a wealth of wisdom.
"I am just absolutely amazed by the conviction this woman has. She's incredibly inspiring. The way that she handles herself and the things that she's telling us. The message that she has for us," said Rufo.
Jacobsen spoke to a Global History, and Geography Class.
