A company donation will help a project to renovate and reuse of the historic Rounds Coal House in Vestal.

The Rounds Coal House now sits on the Rail Trail

It was once the centerpiece of the FL Rounds Coal Company.

Vestal plans to reopen it as the Station by the end of the summer.

It will house some town offices, a business, and rest-rooms for trail travelers.

"We are a little bit behind. We didn't get some federal financing that we were looking for. But we got to save the building. We got to move it on site, and we'll be working on this through the summer," said Vestal Supervisor Peter Andreasen

Andreasen hopes the Wal-Mart donation will kick-start the final leg of fundraising and get other businesses involved.

The project costs about 500-thousand dollars,

The town needs close to 200 thousand dollars to finish.
