The Occupational Safety and Health Administration ordered Samscreen to pay 75-thousand dollars.
It's plant at the Broome Corporate park produces portable media screening systems.
OSHA says an inspection found Samscreen failed to correct what's called machine guarding.
It can help prevent worker injuries like cuts or crushing.
The plant manager, Ryan Delaney, says Samscreen takes safety seriously and has been making necessary improvements.
It already had asked for an extension to finish upgrades so it is in full compliance.
Delaney says the company is meeting with OSHA next week and hopes to resolve the issue soon.
