Owego Police Make 2nd Arrest for Arson

On Thursday June 5, 2008 Officer Jeffley Winchell of the Owego Police
Department arrested CHRISTOPHER M. TUTTLE, age 25, of Tempie Street
in the Village of Owego on the charge of Arson in the third degree a
Class C Felony.
TUTTLE is charged with of intentionally setting a fire at the rear of 42 Temple Street in the Village in the early morning hours of Saturday May 31, 2008. The fire destroyed five apartment houses, two barns, and three vehicles on Temple Street and Liberty Street in the Village and displaced more than twenty persons.

After processing, TUTTLE was arraigned in Town of Owego Court and remanded to the Tioga County jail in lieu of $15,000 cash/$30,000 property bail.
TUTTLE is accused of conspiring with the owner of 42 Temple Street,
MICHAEL LUMNUH, to burn a. structure located at the rear of the property.
LUMNUH was previously charged in the incident and remains in the Tioga County jail.
