Some local students and one outstanding educator were honored today.

The School to Careers Partnership held its award ceremony in Endwell.

STC is a partnership between BOCES and local businesses.

5 students were given scholarships for their accomplishments in the program.

They ranged from 500 to 1000 dollars.

Christie Ziegler said she'll put her 500 dollar scholarship towards medical school next year.

"I'm very excited it's a great honor and everything - everybody is excited about it," said Ziegler.

Teacher Donald Entwistle received the Excellence Award for Outstanding Educator.

He is a criminal justice teacher at Broome Tioga BOCES.

The group also honored local trade unions and 19 trade students in the BOCES program.
