Deposit Man Charged In Stabbing

A Deposit man is behind bars after a stabbing over the weekend.

State police say 23 year old Patrick Reis hit another man over the head with a liquor bottle.

Then stabbed him in the chest with the broken bottle.

It happened just after 3 o'clock Saturday morning at 41 Fourth Street in Deposit.

The victim was taken to Wilson Hospital with serious head and laceration injuries.

Reis is charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

He was arraigned and sent to Broome County Jail awaiting grand jury action.
