Trustees voted unanimously to approve a new law, similar to the one enacted in the City of Binghamton.
Under the law, level 2 and level 3 sex offenders are banned from living and traveling within a thousand feet of any school, daycare center or playground.
It's similar to New York State law, which only restricts level 3 offenders.
The Village of Endicott also recently passed legislation limiting sex offenders.
But Village Trustees are still trying to decide whether to enforce that law, or repeal it, and adopt a law similar to the State.
