We reported Catholic School of Broome County could close the school in Endicott.
A statement faxed to Action News from a parents group expressed concerns that might happen.
Assistant Superintendent Dr Paul King says there is no intent to close St Joseph's.
King does say there is a problem with declining enrollment along with rising costs like teachers salaries, benefits and utilities.
But, he says Catholic Schools is exploring all options to keep St Joe's open.
One idea might be to share teachers with Our Lady of Sorrows Seton Campus.
King says a plan could be announced in mid-February.
