There used to be a hole punched in the sticker, only showing the month you had you car inspected.
You had until the end of that month, the next year, to get another inspection.
But now, mechanics are punching new stickers indicating which part of the month the inspection was done.
The new stickers will have hole punches for the 1st through the 10th, 11th through the 20th, and the 21st through the 31st.
"By having the 3 separate 10 day groups now on the sticker, it will actually cut our workload. Definitely will help us," says Grant Briggs of Kost Tire and Muffler.
The change was made to spread out inspections during the month, because the old expiration dates would cause a huge end of the month rush.
