Almost 100,000 Stolen

She allegedly stole more than 95,000 dollars. Now, she faces felony charges.

41-year-old, Cheri Pomeroy, of Burlington flats is charged with grand larceny, forgery, and falsifying business records.The owner of Cooperstown Optical reported to the Otsego County sherrif's office in late September, that money was missing from his business. After an investigation, it was discovered that Pomeroy, who used to work at Cooperstown Optical, had used the owners signature stamp on business checks and checks issued to herself.Otsego County Sherrif's office says she never registered the checks in business records.Pomeroy posted the 2,500 dollar bail. Her case was transerred to Otsego County court where it will be heard at a later date.
