Sheriff Harder is back to work after an accident with his snow blower.
Harder was plowing his driveway with a snow blower attachment on his tractor.
Before storing it, he used his hand to clean out the heavy snow.
But Harder forgot to turn the blower off.
He says "It was a thud-thud. And, of course, I knew right, I pulled back quick, I knew I was in trouble."
Harder fractured 4 fingers.
He had surgery at Lourdes Hospital: the tip of one finger had to be sewed back on.
Harder says he does have feeling in all of fingers, but he won't be able to write for a while.
He says Undersheriff Gary O'Neill will take over some of his responsibilities.
He expects to to be fully recovered within two months.
