The Watson School of Engineering and Applied Science is hosting the 23rd annual simulation update course on the Vestal campus.
It features training on military simulators for aircraft, and ground vehicles like cars, tanks, and locomotives.
"It's one of the few comprehensive programs in the world, where people can go and actually get a good overview and some in-depth work on every aspect of simulated design," said Gary Arnold of the Watson School.
Ten nationally known experts teach the course.
There are more than a dozen companies in Greater Binghamton that design simulation equipment.
The area is known as the birthplace of simulation.
