Cocaine Bust

Yesterday police seized cocaine and hundreds of dollars from a Binghamton apartment and made four arrests.

The Broome County Special Investigations Task Force say more than 18 grams of loose cocaine, 7 small packets of cocaine, a digital scale and more than $816 was seized in the first floor, right side apartment at 186 Hawley Street. The Task Force had a warrant to search the apartment.

The four men arrested, are 22-year-old, Jerome Edwards, who is homeless. 35-year-old, George Murphy, of Pocona Summit, Pennsylvania, and 23-year-old, Christopher McFadden, of South Ozone Park. Each of the men have been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, and are currently being held, pending arraignment, in Binghamton City Court.
Also arrested was, 29-year-old, Jamel Stepney, of Binghamton, in connection with a violation of parole warrant. He was turned over to New York State Parole.
