The car was heading south just after 2:30 Wednesday morning when it went off the highway near exit 7 in the Town of Chenango.
As the car crashed into the grassy, center median it rolled over several times.
The driver was thrown out.
He's identified as 30 year old Kalon Shaw whose last known address was Delaware Avenue in Endicott.
Shaw was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Broome County Sheriff's Office tells Action News both alcohol and speed played a role in the crash.
