Early Sunday morning, a trooper shot and killed 25 year old Bradley Horton in Sheridan.

State Police say Horton was driving an unregistered ATV.

Investigators say a trooper who tried to get Horton to stop got caught in the ATV, and was dragged about a mile before he shot Horton.

State Police and the Chautauqua County District Attorney's office are investigating.

Horton's family says he looks similar to Ralph Phillips, the man who shot and wounded a State Trooper in Chemung County two weeks ago.

A Dodge Caravan that State Police believe Phillips stole in Hancock last week was found on the same road where Horton was shot in Sheridan.

And troopers are looking in the area for a stolen ATV, as well as two other stolen cars they believe are linked to Phillips.
