Terra Cotta Catering has a new owner and a new future in downtown Binghamton.

Rich David is president of Confluence Enterprise.

His company has purchased the Terra Cotta on State Street.

It was slated to close at the end of the year.

David says his investment means improvements and expansion for the catering business.

He's purchased this neighboring store front to hold smaller parties and lunch-ins.

"We were able to save this business from closing. We're going to keep it in Binghamton. We're going to keep these jobs employed, we're going to keep this service offered to residents throughout the Southern Tier and we're going to expand and invest in this business at the same time." says David.

This is David's second business purchase this year.

He bought Flashbacks and Boca Joes in July.

David says he'll continue to invest in Binghamton and hopes to announce further purchases in the future.
