A taste of the Ukraine is right in our backyard this weekend.

Today was the final day of the 79th annual Ukrainian Days Events.

People are gathered here at St. John's on Harry L. Drive to feast on ethnic food and listen to some great music.

The event also features plenty of Ukrainian dancing and singing.

Today's nice weather brought in plenty of people and organizers say it's a great way to teach people about the culture.

"To enhance the ethnic customs and traditions and you know the grandchildren are dancing. They start dancing around three years of age so you have to instill that in the children, and we wanna just share this with the community, " said Peter Hatala with St. John's.

John Stevens and the Doubleshot Band wrapped up the two-day event.
