A one-car accident on I-88 leaves one person dead and others injured.

State police say six people from Maryland were in a van heading west in the Town of Colesville.

That's when the driver lost control because of tire failure.

The van hit a guard rail and flipped.

One passenger was partially ejected and pinned under the van.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police identify him as 49-year-old Leonard Sellman of Maryland.

Sellman's wife, 51-year-old Anna Sellman, was ejected from the van.

She's in serious condition at Wilson Hospital.

17-year-old Matthew Lubaszewski was also ejected and is in fair condition at Wilson.

Police say Sellman, his wife and Lubaszewski were not wearing seatbelts.

The driver was treated and released.

Another passenger was not injured.
