A Broome County judge sentenced 24 year old Melissa McLain of Endicott for murder.
She will serve 22 years to life in prison in connection with the death of her 2 year old son.
McLain was found guilty of murder and manslaughter charges in October of 2008.
McLain's son, Shaedon, lived with her on Cleveland Avenue in Endicott.
The 2 year old boy died in October of 2007 at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.
The prosecution said McLain severely struck Shaedon and failed to get immediate medical help.
