Standoff Ends: 2 Arrested for Parole Violations

Tense moments for a Town of Union neightborhood.
Deputies executed arrest warrants at 36-54 Hoover Avenue in the Town of Union at about 7:00 last night..
Broome County Sheriff's Deputies arrested two men for parole violations.
They arrested 23 year old Troy McIver of Queens and 24 year old Shandell Terry of Endwell.
Both are charged with violating their parole.
Several surrounding homes were evacuated during the standoff at the home.
The Sheriff's Special Response Team found a 40 caliber handgun in the home after they arrested the men.
Deputies say additional drug and weapons charges are expected to be filed at a later date.
