The former roommate of murder suspect Steven Colegrove takes the stand in Bradford County Court.
32 year old Colegrove lived in Deposit in Broome County.
On August 8th, 2007, his mother, father and brother were found shot to death in their Tuscarora Township home.
All three died of shotgun wounds to the head.
Robert Rynearson testified that he often kept a shotgun in a spare truck, a GMC Jimmy.
Rynearson his roommate, Steven, would sometimes borrow that truck.
Inside of it, New York State Troopers found a shotgun with DNA matching one of the shooting victims, Michael Colegrove.
Prosecutor Daniel Barrett has told the jury police found Steven's right shoulder was bruised, arguing it was the result of firing a weapon.
Colegrove told his roommate he fell on the front porch, but Rynearson testified he never saw it happen.
Also on the stand, Colegrove's former girlfriend and her family.
They testified they never met Steven's family or friends from Pennsylvania.
They say while he talked highly of his father, he didn't speak well of his mother.
Testimony will continue tomorrow morning.
