A Binghamton man is accused of using Facebook and My Space to engage in sexual talk with local teenagers.
A grand jury indicted 31 year old Mark McGrath of Binghamton.
The charge relates to using technology to persuade minors to engage in sexual conduct.
The US Attorney's Office in Binghamton says McGrath used social networking sites or AOL Instant Messaging.
At times he posed as teenager to engage young people in messaging that was sexual in nature from last December through January.
They also believe he met with at least one teen.
Anyone who may have information is encouraged to call Johnson City Police at 729-9321 or the local FBI Office at 722-5321.
McGrath had lived in Johnson City and most recently Binghamton.
He is now being held jail in federal custody.
