The Binghamton University Men's basketball team is on their way to North Carolina.
The Bearcats will meet Duke for the first round of the NCAA tournament.
And as Action News reporter Gabe Osterhout tells us their fans ready to follow.
The Bearcats hit the road to Greensboro this morning.
On their way out they made a stop at BU campus daycare.
The young fans held up this sign, sang, and chanted.
These students will be rooting for a Bearcats win on Thursday.
"I hope they do cause if they don't, I'm going to be really sad," says 5 year old Henry Miller.
The University sold more than 400 tickets to the first round game to students, alumni and season ticket holders. Now, those people with tickets are trying to figure out how their getting to North Carolina.
Many plan to drive, like Zachary Unger and his friends.
He was one of 32 students who got NCAA tickets through a campus lottery.
"This is really exciting for me. I actually wasn't able to get tickets to the Championship game for America East on Saturday and while I was watching the game at my house, I was sitting there saying I am not going to let this opportunity pass again, I have to be at this next game. I don't care where it is, when it is, I'm going," says B.U. graduate student Zachary Unger.
B.U. alumnus Jim Rollo and his wife will also be in the crowd to cheer on Bearcats..
"The good thing about driving is we're not going to buy airline tickets on short notice. Also, if we win, which is a possibility, despite what some say, we might win, we'll be able to stay," says B.U. Alumnus Jim Rollo.
If B.U. does win East Region 1st Round game, those who won tickets in the lottery will already have a seat for round 2.
