Oldest Unsolved Murder Goes To Trial

Opening statements begin Tuesday In Binghamton's oldest unsolved murder case.

In March of 2008, a Broome County Grand Jury indicted 50 year old Bobby Jo Hatchcock of Afton for murder.

He's accused of killing 38 year-old Terry Dittman in June, 1997.

She was found stabbed in the neck behind the old Binghamton Public Works barn.

While Hatchcock had long been a person of interest in the crime, the case went unsolved for more than 10 years.

Police haven't said what evidence led to the arrest.

Monday a jury was seated in Broome County court.

Opening statements begin Tuesday morning.
