B.U. Holds Mock Drill

What would happen if terrorists attacked a college?

Well one local school decided to test itself, and see how well workers responded.

Binghamton University held a mock emergency at its Vestal campus this morning.

Broome County fire departments and hazmat teams joined the B.U. Police Department for the drill.

The exercise simulated a nerve gas attack on the campus.

Emergency workers dressed in hazmat suits, and simulated cleaning the area of chemicals.

The drill tested the workers to see if they're prepared for the real thing.

"There's always something we can do better. And part of this drill will be an evaluation and a critique where we'll go back and discuss what worked, what didn't work," said Matt Hubeny of University Police.

All the emergency workers will look over the results of their drill this week.
