Underage drinking and driving leads to a deadly accident in Chenango County.
New York State Police say it happened at 5:55 this morning, on State Route 206 in Bainbridge.
18 year-old Trebor Hoxie of Norwich was driving a Dodge Caravan with four other passengers.
One died, and three were seriously injured.
The vehicle was traveling northwest, when the driver veered off the road, struck a guide rail, and overturned several times.
It came to rest in the road.
Troopers say alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash.
18 year-old Ashley Crisell of Norwich suffered major head trauma.
She was pronounced dead at Wilson Hospital in Johnson City.
17 year-old Kathryn Mclaughlin of Mount Upton suffered a skull fracture, broken pelvis, and foot amputation.
She is in Critical Condition at Wilson Hospital.
18 year-old Darren Houck of Norwich suffered multiple injuries to his extremities, and a punctured lung.
He's in Critical Condition at Wilson Hospital.
17 year-old Kathryn Card of Morris is in stable condition.
The driver, Trebor Hoxie suffered minor abrasions.
He has been charged with one count of Vehicular Manslaughter in the second degree, a felony.
Hoxie was arraigned in the Town of Bainbridge Town Court.
He was remanded to the Chenango County Jail on $200,000 bail.
