Bus Driver Guilty In I-81 Crash

59 year old Robert Smith of Missouri was driving a tour bus when it crashed last year in the Town of Chenango.

After a non-jury trial in Town Court, Smith was found guilty today on all 3 charges he was facing.

Inadequate brakes, speeding in a construction zone, and logbook not current.

The crash killed 3 construction workers on Interstate 81 south.

A sentencing date has not been set.
