Cleaning Up in Town of Chenango

Homes on Hickory Road were hit hard.

Flood water destroyed this home's foundation.

And fire crews worked all day to pump the water out.

Pat Zorenda says she's never seen flood water reach her yard before.

She says this storm was more devastating than the disaster in June.

"It's unbelievable. There was a flood in June and we didn't have a drop of water, and it's just different flooding I guess," Zorenda said.

And also in the Town of Chenango, a creek here at Wallace Road flooded a nearby neighborhood.

It left half of foot of water in Carol Hall's basement.

But the most visible damage are these rocks, and some mud the creek water left in her yard.

Hall says she'll worry about cleaning up the rocks, but needs to worry about more important things first.

"Right now, I don't really care. I'm more concerned on inside and getting the furnace back on, hot water back on. Out here might wait til spring," she said.
