Days now after flooding hit the region again, cleanup continues for many parts of the area.

And for one Binghamton neighborhood, stunned victims are picking up, saying it's the first time they've ever seen flooding.

People here at the corner of State and Brick Streets say water was waist-deep Thursday night.

Wendy Schoelier lives here on State Street and says water rushed into her living room.

She spent her Sunday replacing destroyed carpeting and also ripping out soaked drywall and insulation.

It's all made for one exhausting weekend.

"I'm tired and I'm just trying to be in good spirits because stuff happens and I had no flood insurance," Scholier said.

Schoelier and her neighbors believe flood water made it's way to their street because debris clogged a nearby creek culvert.
