Happy Holidays, For Pets Too

During the holiday we're always reminded to give back to our community.

And a local animal hospital wants you to remember your furry, and not-so-furry friends!

The Animal Care Hospital in Vestal wants to collect 5 tons or 10 thousands pounds of pet supplies this holiday season.

To help reach that goal, the hospital held an event complete with dogs, ferrets and even snakes!

Pet owners and their pets could get their picture taken with Santa and grab some freebies.

"Since the flood there have been a lot more homeless pets in our area. And sometimes people forget about the little critters because they can't talk. But we really want to try to help them out," said Jessica Bronson with the Animal Care Hospital.

Project Paws, Front Street Dog Shelter and the Humane Society are just some of the local shelters that need donations.
