JC Burglary Suspect Arrested

Johnson City police have arrested a teenager they believe is responsible for a rash of burglaries last weekend.

Police released this surveillance video captured near Wegman's Tuesday.

17 year-old Xavier Collier of Johnson City has been arrested for breaking into homes on the Northwest side of the village.

The crimes happened in the early morning hours of June 28th.

Collier of was located and charged with two counts of Attempted Burglary in the second, both are felonies.

Police are still investigating a possible connection to burglary complaints which happened the night before in the upper north side of the village.

Collier was arraigned in the Village of Johnson City Court and taken to the Broome County Jail.
