Random acts of kindness in Broome County.
Van Cott Jewelers is randomly placing hundreds of these gift boxes all over the area.
Owners say they're giving back to the community.
It's repayment for keeping Van Cott in business for almost one hundred years.
If you spot a little box with a 'Finders Keepers" note attached, you're free to take it.
They could be anywhere, from hospital waiting rooms to under the wiper on your car windshield.
"We've actually gone through our store and found jewelry items, some up to a hundred dollars in retail value. Earrings, bracelets, pendants, that would certainly be something you could keep, or give to somebody else." said Bill Levine Owner of Van Cott Jewelers
Levine says he's not sure how long they'll be giving away the gifts.
But, he's not ready to stop yet.
