An Oneonta woman was caught while on a mission to defraud 10 businesses.
The Otsego County Sheriff's Office says 34 year-old Tammy Hotaling formerly of Richfield Springs was arrested last week while trying to forge a check at the Oneonta Price Chopper.
Deputies says she stole and forged more than 10 checks at other local businesses.
She has been charged with a pair of felonies.
Scheme to Defraud in the First Degree.
And Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the Second Degree.
Hotaling was currently on parole and living at the Willard Treatment Campus.
She was arraigned in the Town of Oneonta Court and returned to the custody of New York's Department of Corrections.
