Expected layoffs came today at BAE Systems in Johnson City.
In August, the company announced it would shed about 225 jobs.
BAE said today it began issuing notices to 200 employees.
20 volunteered to separate.
The layoffs bring workforce at the Johnson City site down to about 14-hundred people.
BAE has said demand dropped for electronics it sells to the military and commercial aerospace industry.
Employees let go today will receive a severance and benefits package.
It will also host an on-site career fair with the New York Labor Department.
