Attempted Burglary in Town of Union

A 24-year-old man is arrested for attempted burglary, assault and resisting arrest.

State Police responded to a burglary call at 947 1/2 Day Hollow Road around 1:30 Saturday afternoon.

Police say Gregory Andriola, 24, was trying to break into the home, and slashed a person inside the residence with a screwdriver.

He was arrested and charged with attempted burglary, assault and resisting arrest.

He was taken to Broome County Jail, and is being held without bail.
