Alternate side parking goes into effect today in Johnson City.
The village reminds residents to obey the restrictions between 2 am and 6 am.
Vehicles should be parked on the even numbered side of the road on even numbered days.
And the odd numbered side of the road on odd numbered days.
People who park in violation, can face a find of 10 to 35 dollars.
The regulations are in effect until March 31, 2010.
