Binghamton Police Investigate Assaults

Binghamton Police need your help to solve a pair of assaults.

The first happened around 3 am Sunday near the intersection of Main and Walnut Streets.

Police say a man was walking when he was approached by two black men, who demanded personal items.

He refused and was struck in the head with an object.

The men fled the scene, empty handed.

A second incident was reported after 3:30 am near 115 Main Street.

Binghamton University students getting off a bus saw a man being assaulted by two black men.

They fled the scene with personal items from the victim, who was unconscious.

Police say one suspect was around 6 feet tall, the other was shorter.

The victim is in stable condition at Wilson Hospital.

Police ask anyone with any information to call them at 772-7080.
