Heroin bust in the Town of Union

The Broome County Special Investigations task force says 22 bags of heroin, methadone pills, hypodermic needles, marijuana and an electronic scale are off the streets after a drug bust.

It happened this morning at the King's Inn in the Town of Union.

The task force says a car was also searched in connection with the distribution of the heroin.

Arrested was 23 year old Joseph Rose.
He has no permanent address. And 23 year old Margaret Haupt of Binghamton.

Rose is charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance.
Both Rose and Haupt are facing several charges including criminal possession of a controlled substance, tampering with evidence, and resisting arrest.

A 19 year old female was also arrested.
Her name has not been released.
