A state trooper is injured in Cortland County, after losing control of his police car.

It happened Saturday night around 10:30.

Trooper Steven Bilodeau was driving his patrol car on route 41 in the town of Cincinnatus.

He was on his way to a dispute call involving weapons.

Police say Bilodeau lost control on a wet road and hit a guide rail.

That's when his car went down an embankment and rolled over.

A passing police car noticed the accident.

Bilodeau was flown to University Hospital in Syracuse.

Police say his head, neck and chest injuries don't appear to be life threatening.

Bilodeau is a 28-year veteran of the state police, based out of the Homer barracks.
